George Komsly started his vocal training whenhis grandfather Leo encouraged himto study with a local Cantor.  The first song he sang was Elvis' "Love Me Tender".

His first role was ‘Tony’ in ‘West Side Story’ at the age of 9, followed by playing ‘Young Eric’ in ‘The Phantom’ a year later for the Bay Area’s Diablo Light Opera Company.

In 2001, he traveled to Italy to perform Verdi’s Requiem at St. Paul’s Basilica in Rome under the leadership of Bay Area choir director Bruce Koliha with William Hall conducting.

Under the tutelage of professor emeritus Dewey Camp he secured a place in UCLA’s esteemed opera program. Not having a place to rehearse in the evenings while living in the dorms, he often practiced at UCLA’s parking garages for their excellent reverb.

While in school he met and was instructed by David Romano, the celebrated tenor from Broadway’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, and vocal maestro for Sarah Brightman and Josh Groban. His tutelage helped him become a soloist for the internationally acclaimed Irish phenomenon “Riverdance”.

When he returned home he participated in the inaugural season of the hit TV series “America’s Got Talent”. After performing his rendition of the pop opera classic ‘Caruso’, show judge Piers Morgan commented, “You are without a doubt, the finest adult singer in this competition.”

After graduating from UCLA, Komsky starred in Dublin Worldwide Productions “The Twelve Irish Tenors” and once again went on tour. An ill-fated accident in 2009 lead to his being hospitalized for a collapse of his right lung, threatening his ability to sing. Six months of recovery and near constant vocal therapy with vocal coach Seth Riggs helped him to get back on his feet. He has since successfully sold out San Francisco’s famous Herbst Theatre twice, and was featured on the San Francisco CBS Evening News in a special segment on October 23rd, 2011.

From August, 2013 through September, 2016 George was a featured guest soloist on Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti’s worldwide tour, with concert performances at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, San Francisco Symphony, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, Houston Symphony, Colorado Symphony, and Indianapolis Symphony. He was also honored to be a part of Mr. Botti’s 9th, 10th, and 11th consecutive annual residency at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City for fifty-six shows.

George donates his time to various charities, among them JFCS Bay Area, the Anti-Defamation League, IDF, Face Forward, The Fallen Heroes, the Wheelchair Foundation, and ACT Today for Autism Care and Treatment in Los Angeles, where he headlined an LA fundraiser with Grammy award winner Brian McKnight.

Komsky opened the 2014 AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington DC in front of a fourteen thousand person delegation.

George has had the privilege of performing the National Anthem for the
New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and the San Francisco Giants.
